About this mood
Back Door Chat exists because some callers know exactly what they want to talk about and would rather not explain themselves. The callers on these lines are open and unembarrassed, so you can say what is on your mind and move straight to the conversation.
The tone is relaxed rather than shocked or clinical. Expect a bit of humour, a lot of encouragement and callers who are happy to answer questions. If you are new to the subject, say so and they will take it at your pace.
Like every style here, the call is entirely yours to steer. You decide how detailed, how bold and how long, and the caller follows. Nobody judges, and nobody expects you to know all the answers.
- Best for: openly discussing one favourite topic
- Pace: set by you
- Tip: tell her if you are new to it
- Cost: £1.00 a minute plus your network’s access charge
